What it does
ROCKWOOL AFB is a semi-rigid stone wool acoustical fire batt designed to be installed in interior partition walls and floor/ceiling assemblies. It absorbs sound, blocks the spread of fire, and stays dimensionally stable for the life of the building.
When to use it
- Steel- or wood-stud interior partitions (offices, multi-family, hotels)
- 1-, 1½-, and 2-hour UL/Intertek listed fire-rated walls
- Floor/ceiling assemblies where sound transmission control matters
