PowerWool RigiBoard 80

Overview

PowerWool RigiBoard 80 is a rigid, non-combustible mineral wool sheathing board for continuous exterior insulation on residential and commercial walls. At R-4.2 per inch and 8 lb/ft³, it adds effective thermal value while staying vapor-open, so wall assemblies dry to the exterior. Its high compression resistance (616 psf @ 10% deformation) supports heavy claddings while keeping enough give for furring and siding to sit flush.

Performance & Compliance

Non-combustible to ASTM E136 / CAN-ULC S114 with Flame Spread 0 / Smoke Developed 0 (ASTM E84, CAN-ULC S102); vapor permeance 35.6 perm at 1.5"; resists fungi (ASTM C1338) and does not wick water. Classified ASTM C612 Type IVB and CAN-ULC S702.1 Type 1; suitable for NFPA 285 exterior wall assemblies and ASTM E119 1- and 2-hour fire-rated assemblies. CCMC #14061-L. Maximum service temperature 1200°F. For exterior use only.
