What it does
COMPACFOAM is a structural thermal-break material made from high-density expanded polystyrene (EPS), available in three density classes (CF100, CF200, CF400). It combines high compressive strength with excellent thermal insulation and very low density — letting it carry structural loads while interrupting thermal bridges.
When to use it
- Window and door rough openings (load-bearing buck around frames)
- Door thresholds and sill plates
- Curtain-wall and storefront transitions
- Steel-stud wall thermal breaks
