Installation of patented WickRight Capstone Vented Support is required on WickRight Capstone Vented Drip Edge and Capstone Vented Receiver Clip installations on masonry walls wider than 8′.
Capstone Vented Support prevents self-adhered flashing from sagging overtime. Self Adhered flashings are known to sag overtime when this happens in cold climates, water can accumulate in the dip and then freeze in the winter. The freeze/thaw action can cause the self-adhered flashing to crack, allowing water to leak into the wall.
Vented Support is installed under capstones between Capstone Vented Drip Edge (both sides) or between Capstone Vented Drip Edge and Capstone Vented Receiver Clip.

Installation requirements:
Install carefully on top of WickRight Vapor Permeable Membrane into small dollops of sealant placed at 12″ intervals on the membrane. DO NOT push into wall core.

Measure parapet wall width minus 8″ — Capstone Vented Drip Edge and Vented Receiver Clip are both 4′ wide
Order Capstone Vented Support that best fits between the two edge vents.
For example: 12.5′ wall — 12.5′ – 8′ = 4.5′ – order the 4′ Vented Support and install centered between the two edge vents.
Order length plus 10% for corners and to ensure you have enough product on site.

Capstone Vented Support is typically in stock, however, should fabrication be needed, it takes 5-7 business days. Shipping is typically via FedEx Ground if sold separately from other WickRight products – 3-5 business days.
