Vara Plus

VARA PLUS is an intelligent interior air and vapour control membrane that adapts its vapour permeability to ambient humidity, installed on the warm side of insulation.

What it does

The Hygrovariable Technology shifts the membrane's Sd value from 0.4 m up to 60+ m depending on humidity. In winter it restricts vapour to protect the structure from condensation; in summer it opens up to let trapped moisture dry out. This dual behaviour creates a more forgiving assembly than a fixed-Sd vapour barrier.
