Flat Roof Access Skylight

FAKRO Flat Roof Access Skylight (DRF) is a hybrid skylight/roof access unit for flat roofs — daylighting plus walk-out roof access in one assembly.

What it does

A patented hinge-and-gas-spring opening system safely raises the unit to 80° and holds it rigid in the open position so the user can use the handle as support. The DU6 triple-pane glazing on an insulated multi-chamber PVC frame keeps the closed unit thermally efficient (~0.23 BTU/h·ft² window U-value), and the 'Infinity glass' top profile gives ~16% more glazing area than standard frames.

When and where to use it

• Flat or low-slope roofs from 2° to 15° pitch
• Buildings needing both natural light and routine roof access
• Standard installation; a second XRD/W base frame adapts the unit for green-roof or high-curb installs
