R-Guard Cat 5

PROSOCO R-Guard Cat 5 is a fluid-applied, single-component STP air and water-resistive barrier that creates a seamless, elastomeric weatherproofing membrane across the exterior of above-grade walls.

What it does

Applied by sprayer or roller, Cat 5 cures into a continuous primary air barrier proven to prevent water and air penetration in conditions ranging from everyday weather up through 155-mph (Category 5) wind-driven rain. The seamless membrane self-seals around fasteners and bonds to damp substrates, even curing in wet weather.

When and where to use it

• Primary AWB on exterior gypsum, OSB, plywood, CMU, and precast concrete
• Above-grade wall assemblies in residential and commercial construction
• Pair with R-Guard Joint & Seam Filler and FastFlash for full-system continuity
• Projects targeting LEED, LBC, and other green-building certifications
